Forex position size and pip value
Choose the pair, account currency, hypothetical balance, risk percentage and stop distance. When quote and account currencies differ, supply the quote-to-account exchange rate. The tool uses no live prices.
Risk budget = balance × risk percentage / 100. Loss per unit = (stop pips + additional spread pips) × pip size × quote-to-account rate + account-currency commission per lot / 100,000. Units are rounded down to the selected increment.
Hypothetical example: USD 10,000 balance, 0.5% risk and a 20-pip EUR/USD stop, before additional costs, give a USD 50 budget and 25,000 units (0.25 standard lots). This is arithmetic, not a recommended position.
Expectancy, drawdown and sessions
Explore win rate versus average reward and loss, the recovery required after losing streaks, risk/reward and date-specific London/New York session clocks. Calculations do not establish a profitable model.
